Welcome to Virtual Comfort Food

I want you to smile. Oh, I know, it's pretty hard to smile these days. What with the economy the way it is, the war, the current administration, the price of gas going up every time you turn around. I know, it's tough to smile through all that. And I would never attempt to make light of how tough it is to make a choice between groceries and heat or filling the tank halfway because to fill it would take money away from another bill. It's a serious time we live in.

But maybe there are some things I can share with you that can lighten things up a little. A few things that have helped me. Maybe together we can come up with reasons to feel joy and smile more and maybe even pass it along to others out there. If we could get a few people to smile, why not a whole bunch of them? This is why I started CosmicGypsy. Because I feel there are things to be joyful about, and I want to share them with you.

I don't want it to be just me telling you things, though. I want this site to be interactive. And that means you getting involved. I want to hear from you. Tell me a story about you. Tell me what's bothering you, what struggles you have and how you've overcome them. What's made you smile before? What inspiration has helped you through a tough time? What are you reading that you think someone else might benefit from? Got a recipe you want to share? We need food for the body too. Our pets can be a source of joy. Our children. Anything you want to share, I'm here to read and maybe post for others to read. Please contact me at KozmicGypsy on AOL and let's see how far our arms can reach across the world!

To help empower and inspire you on a daily basis, I have created two pages of gift ideas. They were designed simply, so that the message of encouragement and inspiration would come through and help you stay on track. Please visit MyTeesRock for these Law of Attraction themed items! Daily Notes from the Universe

Throw it All Away

Toad the Wet Sprocket

Take your cautionary tales
Take your incremental gain
And all the sycophantic games
And throw 'em all away
Burn your TV in your yard
Gather round it with your friends
And warm your hands upon the fire
And start again

Take the story you've been sold
The lies that justify the pain
The guilt that weighs upon your soul
And throw 'em all away

Tear up the calendar you bought
Throw the pieces to the sky
Confetti falling down like rain
Like a parade to usher in your life
Take the dreams that should have died
The ones that kept you lying awake
When you should've been alright
And throw 'em all away

With the time I waste on the life I've never had
I could've turned myself into a better man

Cuz there ain't nothing you can buy
There is nothing you can save
To fill the hole inside your heart
So throw it all away
Won't fill the hole inside your heart

Help me to empty out this house
The wool I've gathered all these days
And thought I couldn't do without
And throw it all away
